Place the butterfly piece and small hearts in a preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, then take them out and let them cool. When you remove the piece from the oven, smooth out air bubbles or wrinkles that may occur under the slide while it’s still warm. It’s hard to get them all, so just do your best.
Add a layer of liquid clay to the front of the butterfly piece and the front of the small hearts. Bake again for 15 minutes, then pop any air bubbles. Once your piece cools, add a second thin layer of liquid clay to all 3 pieces and bake again.
